Cannabis Jelly Bears

How to make cannabis jelly bears

Cooking with cannabis is always fun. The final products are not only tasty, but also quite uplifting. Below, you will find a recipe for a twist on your favorite jelly bears.

Ingredients for Thirty Bears

  • Hashish or cannabis extract – 1 gram is a standard, however, the amount can be altered according to your needs and potency of your material
  • 200 ml of 100% fruit juice
  • 10 g of powdered jelly
  • Coconut oil
  • Jelly molds (if you want bears, these should be obviously bear-shaped)
  • A vessel, preferably a pitcher with a tap

Directions

  1. Bring ca. one third of the juice to the boil.
  2. Remove from the stove and stir the jelly into the juice until it is completely dissolved, then pour in the rest of the juice.
  3. Reheat the mixture in a pan, add hashish or cannabis oil and stir fervently.
  4. Once the cannabinoid material properly blends with the rest of the mixture, pour everything into the vessel. The next step is much easier when the vessel has a tap.
  5. Pour the mixture into molds greased with the coconut oil.
  6. Put the molds into a freezer for 15 to 20 minutes. The jelly bears should be firm now.
  7. Take the molds out of the freezer. If the bears are not firm yet, leave them inside the freezer for few more minutes.
  8. Carefully take the bears out of the molds. Now you can enjoy them!

Your bears are now ready for a discreet consumption! The choice of the kind of juice does not matter but we do recommend an orange juice, strawberry juice or redcurrant juice – you will not make a mistake with either of these, they match with the cannabis flavor with style.

Make Jelly From a Weed and Can It

Introduction: Make Jelly From a Weed and Can It

From the harvest to the final product, this video shows how to make jelly at home using berries from a plant commonly considered a weed in many parts of the world – the beautyberry shrub. Beautyberry jelly is easy to make.

Being very tasty, it has a delicate berry-like flavor (perhaps leaning towards grape – but not the same). There’s something appealing about turning a seldom used weed into a useful product! There are other uses for the shrub too – projects for another time.

The ingredients for 4 cups of jelly are as follows:

2 L) sorted and cleaned beautyberries
2 US qts (

2 L) water
¼ cup lemon juice
2 lbs (

900 g) sugar
Pectin for 4 cups of jelly (follow the pectin supplier’s instruction)

Note: There are enough beautyberries and water in this recipe for two batches of jelly. However, resist the temptation to make it all in one go, as it might gel before you get to can it! Refrigerate the surplus liquid for the time you make the next batch of jelly.
