Chia seeds are prized for their ability to provide sustainable energy and have been a food staple in both the Mayan and Aztec cultures, along with native tribes of North America. In fact, chia is the ancient Mayan word for strength.

Genesis PURE™ Mila ® is a super food that is gluten-free, trans-fat free, sugar-free, and is a superior plant-based source of protein and fiber. Mila uses different varieties of the chia seed to provide a wide array of nutrients. By combining these crops, you get a nutritionally robust product.

Mila contains the omega-3 fat ALA, or “alpha-linolenic acid.” ALA has been shown to support heart health; in fact, studies have illustrated improved cardiovascular health among those with a high intake of ALA- containing foods, like Mila.

Mila also helps meet the fiber needs of your family. The fiber found in Mila is predominantly insoluble fiber, a form of fiber that aids in the relief of occasional constipation.

Certainty and Controversy

Mila Miracle Seed

Everyday a new type of weight loss technique pops onto the market. Today it’s a pill, tomorrow a diet. Recently, a new sprinkle came out. It’s called Mila. This fifty-five dollar, sixteen-ounce package contains a type of seed called the Mila Miracle Seed.

The Mila Miracle Seed is a type of chia seed. Nuts.com explains how chia seeds can reduce food cravings by “preventing some of the food that you eat from getting absorbed into your system. This blockage of calorie absorption makes a great diet helper.” It also makes an individual fuller faster, sustains hydration, reduces blood pressure, and is easily digestible.

The Mila Miracle Seed is said to be “a top quality chia seed with specific strains of seeds grown to exact specifications and carefully blended for maximized nutrition value.” This gluten-free, trans frat-free, non-GMO, sugar free seed is said to truly improve one’s health.

So, how does it work? By sprinkling these tasteless seeds onto your food, you are boosting your body with antioxidants, fiber, phytonutrients, but most importantly Omega-3 fatty acids. The University of Maryland explains that Omega 3 fatty acids are essential to our health, but the human body can’t seem to produce them. They need to be consumed through our diet.

What makes Omega 3 so essential? Research has shown that Omega-3 can reduce inflammation, benefit in brain memory, performance, and function, and help fertile mothers through the development of their children. The fatty acid also lowers the risk of a long list of common chronic diseases, some including depression, blood pressure, asthma, schizophrenia, bipolar, osteoporosis, etc. Bottom line, we need Omega-3 and the chia seed can give that to us.

Is there another way to get Omega-3 fatty acids rather than through the Mila Miracle Seed? Although our bodies can’t produce Omega-3, you can get these fatty acids through other natural sources. World’s Healthiest Foods explains that people can actually get Omega-3 fatty acids through foods including flaxseeds, walnuts, beans, fish, and even olive oil. The chart below describes how much of these foods a person should strive to intake each day.

What else does the Mila Miracle Seed provide us with other than Omega-3 fatty acids? Since there are other sources of getting Omega-3 fatty acids into our body, the additional benefits from the Mila Seed include signs of aging, maintaining blood sugar levels, healthy heart, mental clarity, and last but not least, weight loss. A seed like this could change the diet industry forever.

From everything that I’ve read, I’ve found that these Mila Miracle Seeds must be the best thing since chocolate milk. Should I be buying this $55 package? My mom says no, and that it’s a waste of money. “There are tons of other brands just like it, that are way cheaper,” She explains. So I decided to look into it.

If you notice in the graph above, Mila Miracle Seeds are over three dollars more expensive than Nutiva Organic, Get Chia, and Spectrum Essentials.

What makes Mila Miracle Seeds exponentially better than the other competing products? I found that the only significant difference is that Mila Miracle Seeds are shelled while other products are not. Jim Wear the owner of Lifemax and Mila Miracle Seed promises, “that research will soon be released backing up his claim t hat chia seeds must be opened (or shelled) in order to reap their nutritional benefits.” However, no research has been released yet.

Why use the Mila Miracle Seed rather than just diets or diet pills? Over the counter diet pills have always been go to when it comes to losing weight. However there are a lot of problems with diet pills. The first is that they are unregulated. “The U.S. Food and Drug Administration doesn’t review them.” This makes it impossible to know how safe or how dangerous they really are. Also, regular diets take a lot of time and dedication. According to Sciencedaily.com only twenty percent of people who use diet and exercise actually succeed in weight loss.

When it comes down to it, there is no hard evidence that Mila Miracle Seeds, shelled and sealed are no better for you than the other leading, cheaper competitors. The chia seed appears to be an awesome product that has many health benefits, but again, these benefits can be absorbed through other more natural supplements.

Net Doctor tells us that the best, healthiest way to lose weight is by slowly changing diet and exercise, and making them a larger part of our daily life. Yes, it takes a lot of time and energy, but if you want to permanently lose weight the healthy way, that’s the way to do it.
