hermie seeds

Can you grow Hermie seeds?

Simply so, are seeds from a Hermie feminized?

A male plant makes itself known at the beginning of the flowering stage, but a hermie plant may grow only buds except for just one or two tiny pollen sacs. In order to create a feminized seed, one of the parent female plants had to be forced in some way to produce pollen.

Similarly, will bag seeds grow? Though you can certainly purchase seeds from a seed bank to increase your chances of success, many bag seeds will grow just as well (and save you a lot of money in the long-run).

Then, will a Hermie produce buds?

Answer: Yes, this plant is a hermie / hermaphrodite. One of the biggest worries with a hermie (plant with both female and male parts) is that the pollen sacs will burst and pollenate your flowers. This will “seed” your buds. In other words, this will causes your buds to start focusing on producing seeds.

How long does it take a Hermie to pollinate?

from pollination to seed development is about 3 or 4 days. during those days the pistil will die back and if it’s early in flower you’ll notice it. if it’s later in flower and your pistils are already dying back, then chances of pollination are slim.

Yes its ‘possible’ but there are too many factors to give you an accurate ratio of female:hermie. It depends on the genetics, how the Hermie seeds were made, if the seeds came from a self pollinated hermie or from a 100% female plant pollinated by a hermie.

i do not agree with female seeds there is a good chance that the seeds from hemie plants do produce mostly female offspring, but there is a chance that they turn hemie

male X female = 50-50 boy – girl
hermaphrodite x female = 75% female 25 hermaphrodite.

i say this because of a very well known breder will not ever resort to stressing plants to make them turn hermaphrodite even though there is so much money in female seeds he does not /will not do it under any sercamstances. the breder in Q his strains have won more cannibis cups than you can shake a stick at, others *cough* say the have bread them, but we all know the truth.

original plants such as white widow, super silver haze, to name a few.

If its your only plants, I would seriously suggest trying to find confirmed Female clones or getting some good genetics. If you dont mind the risk then low stress is a must. No light leaks and no stress and your plants will have much more chance of not going hermie on you.

NO even if it from oppersit sex plants nothing is set in stone. you have more chance if you grow seeds form a plant that is hemie than from a plant that is not- fact! the breader i know grows it like this (see pic) and see my post above/\ he will never breed female seeds no matter how much money is involved he says it fucks with genetics, where he is only trying to peserve them. do you remember the good old strains? and they have gone? well this is his life work trying to keep what good strains alive for ever for every one to enjoy. money is no matter to him as you can see in the pics money is no object.

notice the green houses in the backround to the left in the last pick with a red arrow thay are all his and full to the brim with weed

fuck female seeds. i got a few storys to tell about them , but thats another time.
