Because you don’t know what has been prodded, poked and disturbed during the procedure, it’s best to err on the cautious side. The suction created whilst smoking ain’t going to do you any favours. You may not literally get a dry socket, but the sensation can be similar and extremely unpleasant. There’s a reason your dentist most likely told you not to smoke just yet.

TBH, you’re going to smoke regardless of any advice that you’re given so I’d say crack on with it and hope that you don’t disturb anything. If you do, get ready with the painkillers because it hurts like a bastard.

Answer: Able to smoke after Dental Treatment

Having a root canal and crown placed four days ago should not be affected by resuming your normal habits.

Answer: Weed and alcohol can interfere with pain medications

Are you on any pain medications? These medications can have negative interactions with weed and alcohol. If you are not on any other medications, smoking and drinking are unlikely to change the outcome of the RCT procedure. However, weed and alcohol are likely to destroy your general health eventually. This might be a good opportunity to cut back on these unhealthy habits.
